      Gwen Hartford

This fiery-haired femme fatale hails from Dragontown, and is one of the most recognizable local figures aside from the owner of the establishment she works at: Fuckworld. However, she's not famous for the normal reasons a woman employed at the well-known brothel might find popularity. Gwen holds two important positions at the bordello, the first and foremost being to perform in the floor show, a sultry lounge act used to entertain those on the often-lengthy night-time waiting list. However, her lesser known and much more stressful job is an all-day affair, as she is the sole beautifier of the thirty-something prostitutes - both male and female! - populating the household. Her wry humor and brazen attitude have won her over as almost a big sister figure to almost everyone employed there - the security team included.

This isn't to say that she doesn't have her quiet moments. When the hair-curlers are unplugged, and the spotlights are off, Gwen is known to be a deep thinker, empathetic listener, and perhaps most poignantly, a heavy drinker. Her dreams, hopes and fears are bigger than the scope of Los Angeles can offer, and in reality, much bigger than herself. While she'll combat a lot of her unhappiness through witty quips and bursts of bravado in public, deep down, she really wants to have just one moment in her life where she feels significant to someone for something other than what she believes to be their own gain or entertainment. She gives a lot of herself away in her performances and daily interactions, leaving only the bottle and her vinyl records for herself at the end of it all.
