Just on the outskirts of the Sanctuary there is a small adjacent community which does not believe in pacifism. However, they put this differing morality to good use, as they call themselves the Sanctuary Guard. Mostly vigilantes and bleeding hearts with a tough edge, these rag-tag gun-toters rally together to shoot down anyone attempting to intrude on the peaceful Sanctuary, and while their presence is mostly unwanted by the inner residents, they surely would not be alive without them, as thieves looking to take over the semi-fruitful lands inside are plentiful, as well as extremist religious cults outside of the Sanctuary walls. The Guard is freely given supplies from inside the Sanctuary, and thanks to a deal made with the Factory District to the North in which the Guard will come to their aid should they ever need it, they also get very cheap ammunition and weaponry. The leader of the Guard - or Captain as he is referred to - is Warren Bolt, although he was not the founder. The Sanctuary Guard was first started by a woman named Louisa Hunter thirteen years ago. She has since disappeared, leaving the entire operation to Bolt.
