The weasely Barnaby Snag - known just as Snag to most - isn't a well-liked figure, no matter where he goes. At LOCK radio, he spends his time bossing around the other employees and earning everyone's ire, and at his other more secretive job keeping Queen Charlotte and her "court" informed on the island's going-ons, he manages to throw around just enough weight to be annoying but needed. He can sometimes be argumentive, but a little force will shut him right up. Selfish and power-hungry, his resourcefulness is what keeps him alive, as he is otherwise a cowardly figure.
