A vigilante is a very far throw from a bounty hunter. While yes, they will occasionally catch or even kill someone, they only do so in some kind of sense of justice. They will rarely accept payment for their actions, and therefore are commonly also a factory worker or some other kind of side position to pay the cost of living. Some more famous groups of vigilantes include the guard community outside of the Sanctuary, the unofficial police force in Bay Dock, and the street patrol in the slums, all of which are described in more detail under their respective descriptions.
