      Wes Beauregard

This deep-voiced, stoic radio announcer is one of the more well-rounded individuals on the entire island. He's heard it all, and repeated it back on air, and there's simply nothing that surprises him any more. He recognizes the stupidity and futility of escaping the social cast, much less just plain recognizes it's there in the first place, and therefore he's given up on the idea of the modern-day hero. While Los Angeles's state frustrates him beyond words even in the reach of his vast and well-read vocabulary, he claims he is content to his own self-improvement, but deep down he desperately hopes someday someone will come along who brings the human race back up to speed. There's an egotistical streak in Wes that he doesn't cover at all on air, but when his microphone is off, he's a very self-loathing person, wishing he had the courage to change what he believes is unchangable. He spends his free time reading, writing, and surprisingly, exercising.
